Without even counting her HBO series, “Girls,” Lena Dunham has managed to give us the creeps with very disturbing passages in her memoir, an ever-shifting account of rape at the hands of Oberlin College’s “resident Republican,” and her campaign ad likening the excitement of casting a vote for Barack Obama to losing one’s virginity.
Dunham is now stumping for Hillary Clinton, whom she tells the New York Post is “campaigning against a set of odds that none of the other candidates can even imagine.” The other candidates “are white men and they cannot understand” the kinds of attacks she faces, Dunham adds.
#LenaDunham is really, really impressed by #HillaryClinton https://t.co/kKYao6OC5m

For once we agree: none of the other candidates has saddled himself with the baggage of having Dunham as a campaign surrogate. Dunham did make a couple of small-scale appearances to woo millennials, where the strong feminist reportedly teared up just thinking about the “horrific gendered attacks” on Clinton.
@PageSix @MaraSiegler Resident Feminist in love with candidate who's married to a serial womanizer. That's rich.
