The two remaining candidates for the Democratic nomination will meet again tonight in a debate hosted by Univision and simulcast by CNN. Among the moderators will be the Washington Post’s Karen Tumulty and Univision’s Jorge Ramos, an obvious and unapologetic advocate of amnesty for illegal aliens residing in the United States.
Ramos has claimed that it’s a myth to blame immigrants for higher crime, ignoring all the time the fact, repeated to him by Katie Pavlich, that entering the United States without permission is a crime.
While Hillary Clinton has scolded Donald Trump for promising to build walls where she would instead build ladders of opportunity, she’s also come out firmly in favor of gun control, even more than Bernie Sanders. Will anyone at tonight’s debate bring up the ridiculous number of shootings in Democrat-led Chicago over the weekend, and then lay the blame at the feet of the NRA?
22 people shot in Chicago, SINCE YESTERDAY MORNING. Two victims died. Summer is going to be brutal.

We haven’t heard of any protests by #BlackLivesMatter, but Sanders could certainly benefit from some support from the organization.
At least 26 people were shot, 2 fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend beginning Friday afternoon.

@USRoute41 @DividendMaster In Chicago, you can accurately calculate the temperature just by counting the shootings.

In the first 68 days of 2016 in Chicago: 90 dead, 400 wounded in shootings. https://t.co/EbfMCt3XTx

I've got to move far away from #Chicago. It was almost 70 out yesterday, today I get up to hear there was over 20 shootings. #PutTheGunsDown

The FBI statistics say 80% of all shootings in Chicago are done by gang members/ cartel members…the rest are suicides. #TheTriggering

The other 80 percent must be the work of the white cops Sanders singled out in his town hall meeting on Fox News.
It’s more likely Chicago will never be mentioned, but The Washington Post has a few other tidbits to look for during the debate. “Univision announced in February that it would launch a voter registration drive aimed at growing the Latino electorate by 3 million people,” writes reporter Callum Borchers. We’ll see just how much pandering the candidates will be willing to do to secure the support of those voters. Does Hillary have a fake accent ready?
Also, the Post reports that “Univision chairman Haim Saban has contributed $2.5 million to Priorities USA Action, a super PAC backing Clinton,” and that “Ramos’s daughter, Paola Ramos, works for the Clinton campaign’s communications team.” Will nice guy Sanders bother to mention any of this, or is it off-limits like Clinton’s email scandal?
