The Washington Post is reporting Wednesday night that a former staffer for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been granted immunity by the Justice Department. Bryan Pagliano, who set up Clinton’s homebrew email server and later pleaded the Fifth while under questioning, is now cooperating with prosecutors.

Before setting up the server for Hillary Clinton in her Chappaqua, New York home in 2009, Pagliano worked on her 2008 presidential campaign. The Post later uncovered that the Clintons personally paid the State Department to have Pagliano maintain the email server to ensure that “taxpayer dollars were not spent on a private server that was shared by Clinton, her husband and their daughter as well as aides to the former president.”
Reporter Adam Goldman writes that the move by the Justice Department is likely “a sign the FBI investigation into possible criminal wrongdoing is progressing.”
