We didn’t have former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to kick around this campaign, as he dropped out of the presidential race first. Still, his 2011 debate gaffe, during which he couldn’t remember the name of the third government agency he had pledged to eliminate, is still fodder for political jokes.
At tonight’s #DemDebate, the moderators asked a similar question of the candidates, but rather than naming just two of three government programs they’d cut, both candidates managed to duck the question altogether — likely a relief for them and the moderators as well.
what part of government would u cut? they couldn't name one. it's like asking a parent which child you'd toss out a window. except military!

Neither Sanders nor Clinton gave a specific answer to that man’s question about which parts of the government they’d reduce.

@DylanByers I mean, reducing government is not really a part of the democratic platform.

@DylanByers @BretBaier Because they aren't for reducing any of it. They want to expand it and that's the problem.

@DylanByers @SenSanders did hint at potential waste reductions in the defense budget, among other cabinet agencies
— Robin Paoli (@RPaoli) February 12, 2016
That's because they won't reduce, @DylanByers @BretBaier Well, Bernie sounded like he might gut military.

a debate in which 2 candidates advocate punitive policies against risk of any kind. better to sit home, wait for the check & the drugs.
