As Twitchy reported earlier, Sen. Harry Reid was eager to help Hillary Clinton out of the fire by arguing that if Clinton were indicted for having classified material on her personal email account, then Colin Powell would have to be indicted too, now that State Department officials have revealed that classified information was also sent to the personal email accounts of former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Senior aides to former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are also said to have had classified material in their personal email accounts.

Two messages reportedly were sent to Powell’s personal account, and 10 to Rice’s senior aides.
The reaction of many? Get back to us when you find Powell’s unauthorized, personal home-brew email server with its own domain. Attorney and writer Gabriel Malor had another concern: What was the State Department doing investigating Powell’s email while blowing off a court-ordered deadline for Clinton’s emails?
!!! State Dept that didn't meet court-ordered deadline on Clinton emails had time to go through Powell, Rice emails. https://t.co/BoFZeS8HKz

The State Department, under court order to release thousands of pages of emails by January 29, explained that due to the snowstorm that hit Washington, D.C., it would need another month to come through with the goods; coincidently, some time after the New Hampshire primary.
IG had time to go through Powell, Rice emails from 2003 through 2008, but hasn't managed to finish Clinton emails on a shorter timeframe.

Astonishing.

The district court hearing on State Department's delay is Feb. 9. This HAS to come up.
— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) February 4, 2016
I was sorta expecting the judge to be: NBD, I get it, delays happen. But not now. Not with State actively interfering in the process.

A decision was made to stop work on the court-ordered release of Clinton emails and start work on Powell, Rice emails. That demands answers.

As of last night and CNN’s Democrat town hall, Clinton was still blaming that relentless vast right-wing conspiracy for any scandal you might like to name.
That State is politicizing the Clinton probe completely undercuts Dems' moans that Congress, which is overtly partisan, is politicizing it.
— Gabriel Malor (@gabrielmalor) February 4, 2016
It's also really fuckin' tone deaf from an administration that already faces lawsuits for politicizing federal agencies.

Maybe Bernie Sanders will mention that during tonight’s debate with Clinton?
