Unsanctioned Democratic debate added in New Hampshire

At the New Hampshire Democratic Party convention last September, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the stage to the sound of boos and calls of, “We want debates!” Wasserman Schultz stubbornly stuck to her original plan of staging only six, to the point where DNC vice chair Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was disinvited from the first debate as punishment for expressing her unhappiness with the debate schedule on MSNBC.

Despite Wasserman Schultz’s attempts to limit the public’s view of Hillary Clinton debating her surprisingly popular opponent Bernie Sanders. it looks like New Hampshire will be getting an additional, unsanctioned debate anyway.

Word is it’s being co-sponsored by NBC and the New Hampshire Union-Leader and will take place Feb. 4, five days before the New Hampshire primary. Moderators are said to be Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow.

No, it looks like the organizers actually want people to see this one.

The next official DNC-sanctioned debate is set for February 11 — two days after the New Hampshire primary.
