NBC can't find 'anything new' to report on Juanita Broaddrick, spikes story

The Daily Caller reports that NBC recently reached out to pursue a story on Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who accused Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, after Broaddrick briefly surfaced on Twitter with a couple of powerful tweets, including this one:

That tweet alone was retweeted more than 13,000 times, suggesting that interest in Broaddrick and her thoughts on watching Hillary Clinton and her “secret weapon” out on tour campaigning night after night was worth further investigation.

The Daily Caller says that emails show that NBC’s producer was “passionate” about Broaddrick’s story and self-described as “a new generation of NBC” — very likely of the generation that lives by this belief:

No story was every produced, though:

Broaddrick says that she is “really surprised” that NBC scrapped coverage of her story on the grounds that she has nothing new to offer.

“I never said I had anything new to offer. What I said on Twitter is what I said in 1999,” Broaddrick told Buzzfeed.

“After chasing me for a few days, then to say I had nothing new to offer. I was just shocked,” she added.
