Emily Miller: Stockpiles of ammunition are not the sign of a criminal

We all know that the sensible gun control laws in effect in California — site of yesterday’s mass shooting that killed 14 — are working, because Sen. Barbara Boxer told us they are. Reporters and viewers seemed particularly curious about the number of rounds of ammunition suspect Syed Farook and his wife had managed to accumulate and had on their bodies when they were killed by police. (Police expended around 380 rounds in the final shootout.)

Emily Miller, investigative reporter and author of “Emily Gets Her Gun … But Obama Wants to Take Yours,” notes that it’s “very common, perfectly reasonable, and cost-effective” for a law-abiding shooter to order large quantities of ammo online.
