Attacks on Jews in Israel have grown to such proportions that Secretary of State John Kerry today met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and, according to the New York Times, “urged him to tone down the harsh language that American and European officials assert is helping to fuel the violence.”
That idiocy aside, Twitchy has noticed quite a bit of obfuscation in headlines covering the uptick in attacks. Decode Al Jazeera’s headline, “Palestinian shot dead after fatal stabbing in Jerusalem; 2 Israeli victims also killed,” and you’ll learn that a Palestinian fatally stabbed two Israelis before being shot by police.
CNN might have been trying to save space today in its news crawl, but some details matter too much to leave out.

Did you catch that at the very bottom of the screen? “Palestinians shot boarding kids’ bus”? It only takes a quick visit to CNN’s own website to learn that the Palestinians happened to be carrying knives:
Two Palestinian men armed with knives tried to board a bus carrying children in Israel but were forced back by people inside the vehicle, police said.
After being kept off the bus, the Palestinians stabbed an Israeli man at a bus stop in the city of Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, said police spokeswoman Luba Samri.
Police officers shot the two attackers, wounding both of them, she said. They and the Israeli they stabbed were hospitalized, and one of the Palestinians later died of his wounds.
