In case you missed it, today marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month along with the associated political pandering.

Vice President Joe Biden heralded the occasion with a reception at his residence, and told the 75 or so in attendance that a certain Donald Trump was preaching a “sick message” on Hispanic immigrants, “absolutely denigrating an entire group of people” and embodying a xenophobia that hadn’t been seen since the mid-nineteenth century.
“Folks, this will not prevail,” Biden assured his guests. “This will not prevail.”
