In response to a series of undercover videos that revealed organ harvesting at Planned Parenthood, Sen. Joni Ernst sponsored legislation that would bar all federal funding of Planned Parenthood. That legislation failed to advance in the Senate after a 53–46 vote fell short of the 60 votes needed.
Although most senators are in favor of defunding @PPact, PP's aggressive lobbying efforts silenced their vote http://t.co/ynPH8C1s84

Lila Rose, president of Live Action, notes that all but one of the senators who voted to block the legislation from moving forward had accepted money from Planned Parenthood, which received more than $500,000 in federal funds in 2014, not to mention another $300 million from private and corporate donors. Reporting for Live Action News, Kristi Burton Brown revealed that Sen. Angus King was the only Senator who had not accepted Planned Parenthood cash.
Every single senator who voted against defunding @PPact— except one—has been awarded money from the abortion giant. #PPSellsBabyParts

.@PPact spent over $1.6 million on funding nearly every Democrat in the U.S. Senate. These Dems then voted against defunding PP.

Brown includes in her article of list of senatorial campaign contributions from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund from 1998-2015. Concludes Brown, “It’s amazing what can be gained from spending $12,000,000 on the highest office in our land.”
