President Obama’s threat to issue an executive order to keep Jon Stewart from leaving “The Daily Show” during his seventh appearance on the program was cute and all, but Politico’s report that Stewart had been summoned quietly to the White House “to engage privately with the president in his inner sanctum at two sensitive moments” wasn’t cute at all.
