The president, still riding high on his A+ week, decided to keep making history by announcing that later this month the United States would open an embassy in Havana, Cuba, as the first step in normalizing relations with the country.
President Obama, the master negotiator behind the Beau Bergdahl trade, cut the deal in talks with Cuban President Raul Castro. What he failed to mention in his announcement to the press was that the deal comes with conditions. Reuters, for example, reports that the U.S. must stop broadcasting its subversive programming into Cuba.
BREAKING: Cuban gvt says U.S must end radio and TV broadcasts into Cuba and eliminate 'subversive' programs to normalize overall relations.

To agree to this would be to commit an act of moral cowardice unbecoming of the United States. https://t.co/ByE1aCtM69

Unbecoming of the United States perhaps, but business as usual for President Obama?
@charlescwcooke so it's a done deal then?

@charlescwcooke Done.

@SooperMexican @charlescwcooke So what you're saying, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that Obama will almost certainly do this.

@charlescwcooke @AndrewStilesUSA @Reuters we have the coward for the job

@charlescwcooke Exactly why we can expect Obama to do exactly that.

Oh, while we’re at it, Cuba would also like the United States to throw in the Guantanamo Bay military base.
UPDATE: Cuban government says U.S. should return Guantanamo Bay military base to Cuban sovereignty.

@Reuters Hasn't this been BHO's plan? What better way to close it than to just give it away. It'll reopen as a first class Cuban resort.

It's telling that in normalizing relations with Cuba, the tyrants are the ones making demands. https://t.co/ZWXyLDYGzn
