Like so many today, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” director Joss Whedon has seen the cell phone recording of the shooting of Walter Scott in the back by Officer Michael Slager. This shooting, with Scott running away, seems especially unnecessary, and Whedon is wondering if it wasn’t meant as a message “to shut people down or set them off.”
@josswhedon I feel like too many people in this country still don’t even understand why this is angering.

@josswhedon It won’t end until many people who are still believing the lies start to see what is happening and get angry too.

@josswhedon I'm so tired of seeing the same story repeated with different names. Another black man gunned down.

@josswhedon It's to the point that body cameras have become a necessity.

@AndrewDaar Chicago has one of the most corrupt police forces in the nation, is my understanding of it as an outsider.

@josswhedon Seems to me, it's more of an institutionalized thing that press is only now starting to cover. We still haven't seen the worst.
