New York Times reporter spins for Hillary: 'Lots of folk' with new phones kept BlackBerry 'for typing'

Just for argument’s sake, let’s assume that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wasn’t being 100 percent truthful during her press conference today when she explained that she used a personal, private email server for official correspondence because “it would be easier to carry just one device for my work and for my personal emails instead of two.”

That might lead America Rising PAC, which performs opposition research on Democrats, to post a response like this one:

For some reason, America Rising’s tweets apparently hit a nerve with New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin, who stepped in to explain on Clinton’s behalf.

Attorney and prolific blogger Gabriel Malor was on hand to point out what should have been obvious.

Clinton herself declared as “undisputed” her claim that “the laws and regulations in effect when I was secretary of state allowed me to use my email for work.” So what if she “chose not to keep” the personal ones?

Not to worry, though. Clinton has urged the State Department to post to a public server all of her (remaining) emails.

Who else wants to have a ride on the Hillary spin machine? How about Brad Woodhouse, president of Americans United for Change and American Bridge?

For those who can’t stomach a second viewing of the press conference, here’s a concise yet accurate summary.
