It’s well known by now that the @BarackObama Twitter account isn’t run by the president or the White House, but by Organizing for Action, Obama’s retooled campaign organization which tweets under his name. For whatever reason, OFA thought this less-than-confident call to action was what America needed to hear today.

It’s ironic that the president would urge people to roll up their sleeves on the same day the White House described its sit-back-and-wait foreign policy as “strategic patience.” And working together? That sounds great, but at last count, the president had issued at least 13 veto threats against the newly seated Congress. But at least he’s trying to get something done.
