Attorney General Eric Holder on Saturday issued a statement on the ambush killings of two New York City police officers in Brooklyn. Holder wrote that he wanted to send his “heartfelt condolences to the officers’ loved ones and colleagues” and offered to “make available all of the resources of the Department to aid the NYPD in investigating this tragedy.”
Holder concluded:
“Our nation must always honor the valor— and the sacrifices — of all law enforcement officers with a steadfast commitment to keeping them safe. This means forging closer bonds between officers and the communities they serve, so that public safety is not a cause that is served by a courageous few, but a promise that’s fulfilled by police officials and citizens working side by side.”
AG Eric Holder: NYPD shooting underscores routine danger police face & we must "not forget this as we discuss the events of the recent past"

Yes, Holder also praised law enforcement for facing danger every day, noting vaguely that America as a nation “must not forget this as we discuss the events of the recent past.” What might those be, and how are they relevant to the assassination of two police officers in cold blood? Holder must see some connection there to bring it up.

@nycjim @greta His usual BS where is his outrage to the black community demanding respect for the law. Holder is part of the problem

@nycjim @greta Yes it is but this is what they have been pushing for all along. They made no effort to quell the mobs of protestors.

@nycjim @greta too little too late. Holder is a race baiter. Shame on him. Cops blood on his hands.

@greta The only thing I want to hear from him is that he will finally restore law and order to our cities. Not going to happen.
