There’s plenty of news coverage today of packed stores and crowded malls as shoppers do their best to score Black Friday deals. Shoppers at the Galleria Mall in Richmond Heights, Mo., were in for disappointment, though, when they found that many stores were closed due to an invasion of Michael Brown protesters marching through the mall and staging a mass “die-in.”

Galleria Mall shut down in St. Louis area at 2pm on Black Friday as 200+ protesters show up. Millions of dollars in commerce halted.

“Protesters” shut down commerce in Ferguson, Mo., by burning at least a dozen businesses to the ground earlier this week. Shutting down the Galleria will really teach those businesses a lesson.
Wowww…I was supposed to work at the Galleria from 6am-noon. Then 10am-4. Now, the mall is shut down. #Ferguson
