Jesse Jackson: Statue of Liberty will be jazzed when POTUS signs immigration reform

Yet another Democrat has decided to exploit the Statue of Liberty as a symbol of support for immigration reform opposed by the majority of the American people. The Rev. Jesse Jackson says that the statue will “shout” in support of the president when immigration reform is signed.

As Twitchy noted in August, when the House passed two measures to speed up the deportation of Central Americans who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally, Rep. Janice Hahn (D-Calif.) asked, “When did we as a nation abandon the promise we etched onto the Statue of Liberty”? At the same time, Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) tweeted a nonsensical photo of the State of Liberty wearing a blindfold.

Never mind that France gave the Statue of Liberty to the United States to commemorate the Revolutionary War, though which America became a sovereign nation with its own rule of law — not to mention it own borders to protect.
