Viewers ready to rip their ears off thanks to CNN's endless 'OMG Ebola!' background music

Is there anyone left watching CNN and its election coverage? Visually, the cable network decided to stun viewers with its ridiculous video wall, likened by one tweeter to “Hollywood Squares but in hell.” You can close your eyes, but you still can’t escape CNN’s continuous loop of dramatic election music.

Why does @CNN have to have this awful, panic inducing background music. Just talking is fine.

I'm making a projection: turning @CNN off in two minutes because the dramatic repetitive bed music is out of control. #Election2014

CNN Election Center music is too much. I feel like I'm watching a tense bank robbery scene.

This buildup music on CNN sounds like someone is scoring the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack.

Dear God, @CNN turn off the background music. You're announcing election results not introducing Magic Mike.

— Steve Contorno (@scontorno) November 5, 2014

I just can't with CNN's non-stop Terminator music over all their coverage. You have some smart field reporters. Let us hear them.

Whoever is riding the fader on the dramatic cnn background music has the toughest job of the night

— Pete Dominick (@PeteDominick) November 5, 2014

CNN, whoever is playing a video game on set, ask them to turn the music down, we can hear it.

@CNN's background music for election returns makes me feel like Nic Cage is gonna pop up anytime. #whyaminotinthismovie?

Is there anyone at #CNN that can pot down that annoying, non-stop music loop, or did they layoff the sound guy too?

@CNN is running a continuous loop of cheesy NFL music under its coverage. Hey BLITZER! Turn that crap off! You're making us sick!

— peter kaufman (@peterkaufman1) November 5, 2014

Yeah, sorry @CNN. That background music is a dealbreaker…

— Robert Nelson (@RobertMpls) November 5, 2014

@CNN must have done a stress test on their background music and determined it was perfect to aid in one's impending aneurism.

— Kelly Savage (@KellySavage1) November 5, 2014

Dear @CNN. Your reporters are saying #Election2014, but your music is saying #SharkWeek.
