North Carolina politics turned very ugly Sunday when churchgoers in Cumberland County found fliers depicting a lynching tucked under their windshield wipers. Text superimposed over the lynching photo read, “Kay Hagan doesn’t win! Obama’s impeachment will begin! Vote in 2014.”
In smaller text, the flier read, “Not endorsed by any candidate,” though it would seem impossible to believe it was the work of anyone but Democrat supporters of Hagan.

Daily Banter White House correspondent Tommy Christopher tweeted that the flier looked less like a pro-Hagan screed and “more like a GOP campaign promise.”
