To be fair, the White House has not yet confirmed the authenticity of the video purporting to show the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff, although media outlets are reporting it as confirmed.

When will we hear from the president, and will it be in the form of a written statement? Many are still outraged that the president went directly from his statement on the beheading of journalist James Foley to the golf course. Understandably, some want more from President Obama.
