As Twitchy reported, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has revealed some disturbing incidents of sexual harassment in her new memoir, “Off the Sidelines.” Joe Scarborough asked Thursday night that if Gillibrand’s allegations are true, shouldn’t Americans have a right to know just who exactly was doing the harassing?
Opinion was mixed:

@JoeNBC How can other women be expected to file complaints abt harassment if our leaders are afraid to?

However …
@JoeNBC But don't you think those politicians would deny the charge, reducing her allegations to the typical he said/she said discussion?

@JoeNBC Only if she feels safe in divulging the information. If she feels threatened in any way, then the answer is NO.

@JoeNBC accusations of sexual harassment are kept confidential in all companies. Where does a Senator go who is a victim of such behavior?

@JoeNBC Considering the reaction she's gotten without identifying someone, why would she put herself through the witch hunt if she did?

@JoeNBC no one is a mandated whistleblower. She still has to work there. Maybe this is as much as she was comfortable doing

@JoeNBC how many female reporters have backed her claim now? Should they have to name names too?
— Brian Rosenwald (@brianros1) August 29, 2014
@JoeNBC No. It's up to her to report them or not.
— Bet Mulligan (@vachonn) August 29, 2014
.@JoeNBC Sure, but why is it her duty to out them? They should out themselves. She's brave enough admitting w/o naming names.
