Twitch.tv, not Twitchy, to be sold to Amazon for $970 million

More than a few people misread the headlines this morning reporting that video game streaming site Twitch.tv was to be picked up by Amazon.com for nearly $1 billion. Matters weren’t helped when a parody account of Jeff Jarvis tweeted out the “news” and was retweeted by some liberal journalists.
