Last week, noted atheist Richard Dawkins ignited a firestorm of criticism when he tweeted to a woman who asked theoretically if she found she were pregnant with a baby with Down syndrome that she should “abort it and try again,” adding that “it would be immoral to bring it into the world.”
Today, Dawkins apologized for impugning the morality of those women who carry their children with Down syndrome to term.
I apologise for impugning the morality of the approximately ten percent of women who deliberately choose NOT to abort a Down's fetus.
