The idea of a President John McCain hasn’t been thought of for a long time, but Soviet-born chess champion and political activist Garry Kasparov was much more impressed with McCain’s statement on #MH17 today than President Obama’s tepid statement on the developing situation in Ukraine.
In that statement, McCain wrote that “now is the time to provide Ukraine with the weapons and other military assistance they have requested and require to defeat the separatist groups and secure their country – assistance that, had we provided it earlier, might have enabled Ukrainian forces to succeed in this effort by now and thereby prevented last week’s tragedy.”
Strong statement, @SenJohnMcCain! Anyone else have the feeling if he could be President for 72hrs Ukraine would be free of Russian terror?

He would even have to do anything. Just the news that McCain was taking charge & they'd be running back over the UKR border in no time!

Maybe Russians and Ukrainians see things differently, but that’s awfully hard to believe from an American perspective.

@Kasparov63 I usually agree with what you say, but you generally want sane people to run a country. McCain is nutjob.

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain Nope, he only talks that way because he knows he's not accountable. Just another squish.

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain McCain is a senile buffoon. You should know better.

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain No.

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain no. He just talks tough because he's not in a position to have to live up to it

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain Garry that wouldn't be a good move. McCain would only make more enemies for USA. Classical blunder in chess term

@Kasparov63 @LibertyLynx @SenJohnMcCain The US Congress could initiate n pass a bill to aid Ukraine. It would require more than a statement
— LivingADream (@Allentownmike) July 21, 2014
@Kasparov63 @LibertyLynx @SenJohnMcCain but passing anything in Congress requires work. Easy to release statements n go on Talk shows.

@Kasparov63 @SenJohnMcCain oh… You might be surprised. …and disappointed.
