'Not political': Dinesh D'Souza's 'America' pulled from Costco shelves?

The Washington Times is reporting today that copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, “America: Imagine a World Without Her,” are being pulled from the shelves at Costco stores across the country.

Mr. D’Souza said roughly 3,600 copies of his newest release has sold at Costco already, but he has no idea why the chain refuses to sell more.

“We’re in the process of finding out what’s happening,” he told WND. “I look forward to getting to the bottom of this and continuing the strong relationship my publisher and I have always had with Costco and their millions of shoppers.”

As Doug Powers reports at MichelleMalkin.com, “America” is currently the No. 1 seller on Amazon.com. By comparison, Hillary Clinton’s “Hard Choices” sits parked at No. 91. So much for the theory that there’s no market for D’Souza’s book, which is accompanied by a motion picture of the same name.

WND.com notes that “in total, Costco has given $100,000 to Obama and another $100,000 to Priorities USA, the pro-Obama super PAC.”

In a Facebook post Tuesday, Costco reportedly said it will restock the book due to the release of the documentary and “heightened interest by our membership base.”
