IRS commissioner: Insufficient budget partly to blame for missing emails

Testifying before the House Oversight Committee Monday night, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen in part blamed IRS budget cuts and insufficient resources for the missing Lois Lerner emails. He testified that the IRS had looked into expanded server capacity, but that would have cost between $10 and $30 million.

Issa points out that the IRS IT budget is 1.8 billion dollars after IRS commissioner blames lack of resources for failing to keep records.

Connolly really focusing on the IRS lacking resources. Not sure any American buys that only having a 1.8 billion IT budget is the issue.
