As reported by The Huffington Post, the Boy Scouts of America has revoked the charter of Seattle’s Rainier Beach United Methodist Church after the parish expressed its support for an openly gay Scout Leader earlier this month. That’s inspired tennis champ Martina Navratilova to demand that the Boy Scouts “evolve already!”

Rainier Beach Rev. Monica Corsaro has said that Troop Leader Geoffrey McGrath will continue to serve as the leader of the church’s scouting program despite the BSA’s decision. The Boy Scouts’ National Council voted last May to lift a ban on openly gay members, although gay adults are still barred from leadership positions.
