'Some justice is no justice': Michael Dunn jury deadlocked on first-degree murder charge

A hung jury found Michael Dunn guilty of attempted second-degree murder in a Jacksonville, Fla. courtroom Saturday night. The jury was deadlocked, though, on a charge of first-degree murder in the killing of 18-year-old Jordan Davis.

Dunn, who is white, shot 10 times at an SUV as he was parked next to four black teens playing loud music at a Jacksonville gas station in November 2012, killing Davis. Dunn claimed the shooting was in self-defense as he felt his life was threatened. Many compared the case to the George Zimmerman trial, citing Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.
