No, Paris Hilton did not confuse Nelson Mandela with Martin Luther King

@Popdust I just landed off an airplane & heard the news. I never wrote that tweet, it is a fake. Obviously I know that speech was by MLK.

One person certainly not amused by a fake tweet showing Paris Hilton crediting Nelson Mandela with the “I Have a Dream” speech was Paris Hilton. The tweet was the work of an account called @DeIetedTweets (Deleted spelled with a capital I) that specializes in such Photoshopped celebrity tweets.

We all know Paris Hilton is thick, but this is just pushing it… Mistaking Nelson Mandela's death for Martin Luther. pic.twitter.com/y4SrnLolzi

Mandela's death is being over shadowed by a fake Paris Hilton tweet about Mandela's death. Whelp, That's how that works.

Hilton’s actual tribute to Nelson Mandela was quite eloquent, actually.

Just landed & heard the sad new about Nelson Mandela. He was a true Hero & the world is a better place because of him. May he rest in peace.
