'You're welcome, Cookie Monster': Rep. Dingell applauds passage of Public Broadcasting Act

The fact that the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967, which paved the way for PBS and NPR, is 46 years old today is certainly impressive. As taxpayers, we wouldn’t mind a “thank you” from Cookie Monster ourselves. But aren’t he and Big Bird and NPR old enough to be out on their own now?
