It sounds like tragedy was averted this afternoon after a school bus crashed into a creek in Butler Co., Kansas.
This is being classified as a swift water rescue, as the bus is currently in standing, moving water.
The 911 director for Butler County, Chris Davis, said that there were 10 children on the bus. He said none were injured, and they’re all on top of the bus waiting for rescue crews. The driver is reportedly still in the bus, suffering from minor injuries. Crews are working to extricate him.
