David Frum calls out Sarah Palin on 'phony photo op' with bear

As Twitchy reported earlier, Sarah Palin sent her regrets to CNN’s Piers Morgan, saying she was “too busy doing, um, er… pretty much anything” to accept an invitation to appear on his “shambolic” show. As proof, she posted a photo of herself with a hunting rifle and a dead bear — someone else’s bear, according to gun scold David Frum. The whole thing was just a photo op, you see, and also a poor example of gun safety.

Is it really someone else’s bear? Does anyone care? Beargate, anyone?

It’s true; the Mediaite story to which Frum links makes no mention of a staged photo op, only that Palin’s post was of a “particularly terrifying hunting photo.” Terrifying to Frum, perhaps?
