Stacey Dash thanks Fisher House for stepping up for families of fallen troops

President Obama tonight signed a bill that restores federal funding for military death benefits, just hours after spokesman Jay Carney deemed it “unnecessary.” On Tuesday, the Maryland-based Fisher House Foundation had stepped up with an offer to pay the $100,000 survivor benefits, which generally pay for travel and funeral expenses for the families of fallen troops.

That gesture earned a tweet of thanks for actor and patriot Stacey Dash.

God bless and keep you. Thank you for letting our troops know how important they are to our great country. We as patriots must continue to support and stand together despite what this administration is trying to accomplish. We must Guard The Sacred Trust.

Fisher House provides free housing near military bases for the families of troops hospitalized for combat injury, illness or disease.
