A small group of business owners who depend on Grand Canyon tourism for their livelihood marched to the park gates today to protest the government shutdown. The Arizona Republic’s Michelle Lee was there.

As one sign noted, Congress has voted to reimburse furloughed federal workers for lost time, but independent business owners are on their own.
