Rep. Ted Deutch doesn't miss the old days when bureaucrats ran health insurance

Is it too early to look back at the bad old days when bureaucrats called “insurance agents” stood between you and a health insurance policy? Rep. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.) doesn’t think so; he’s looking forward to a bureaucrat-free future where the government handles your health insurance needs.

Don’t be like that! It’s gonna be great — like the bureau of motor vehicles, but you get to go when you’re sick. And plenty of people are already getting to enjoy saying goodbye to their insurance agents, as their insurance companies are dropping their policies because of Obamacare.

As long as we’re imagining life in a post-Obamacare bizzaro world, why not celebrate the new era of government-mandated personal responsibility?
