We know that the Seattle Police Department likes to have fun with its outreach programs — just check out “Operation Orange Fingers,” its enthusiastic plan to use free bags of Doritos to smuggle guidelines on legal pot use into Seattle’s Hempfest. The police today teased that Sir Mix-a-Lot wouldn’t let them call the city’s bike sharing program @BabyGotBike, but the Seattle rapper says there’s no way he’d want to be on the bad side of the Seattle PD.
.@snickn We tried getting @BabyGotBike but @therealmix sent us a cease and desist.

@SeattlePD @snickn no way I would do that to the SPD. I like fast cars… Wink, wink

The police even offered “Mix” a ride-along, name-checking his 1988 track “Posse on Broadway.”
@therealmix @snickn Anytime you want to do a ride-along with us, Mix, just let us know! #PatrollingOnBroadway
