A Health Ministry official in Egypt has said that at least 65 pro-Morsi demonstrators were killed Friday in clashes with Egyptian security forces in Cairo, drawing condemnation from observers around the world. Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, who was recently declared the “best connected” world leader on Twitter, said in a tweet he was “horrified” by the shootings, drawing the attention of Egypt’s ambassador to Sweden.
I’m horrified by the large number of dead in the demonstrations in Egypt. Security forces can’t avoid responsibility.

@carlbildt It is horrifying, however these were not peaceful innocent civilians but armed mob. I guess hard for Swedes to comprehend.

@Osama_Elmagdoub So they all shoot themselves? Try another one…
— Carl Bildt (@carlbildt) July 27, 2013
@carlbildt never said so. When police is shot at, what should they do? Protest is different from shoot out.
— Osama Elmagdoub (@OsamaElmagdoub) July 27, 2013
@Osama_Elmagdoub So who shoot all these people? Can never be justified.
— Carl Bildt (@carlbildt) July 27, 2013
@carlbildt Investigation will explain. Shoot outs often messy. I seek to clarify not justify. All are Egyptians in the end.

@Osama_Elmagdoub @carlbildt do you say police have the right to kill people !!!!!!

@elassafy @carlbildt Swedish police shot and killed 69 year old man for carrying a knife.

That’s a bit of a sore subject with the Swedes, who endured days of rioting by angry “youths” after police shot and killed a 69-year-old man who was allegedly threatening neighbors in his largely immigrant suburb with a machete.
@Osama_Elmagdoub @elassafy @carlbildt the existence of an exception proves the rule. name 5 other incidents of swedish police murders. cant?
