These #ChrisHayesRapSongs are straight outta MSNBC

Some of the faces in MSNBC’s prime-time lineup have changed, but the news network that doesn’t do breaking news is still America’s place for pallor. Ratings-challenged Chris Hayes is always on the lookout for racism, though, and was appalled today to hear that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie had announced a special election to fill the seat left by the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg. As Hayes explained tonight, Christie’s choice of a Wednesday in October for the special election is “craven and insulting to democracy.” Why? Because, Hayes explained, blacks will certainly turn out to vote for Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker, who is black, and thus get the voting “out of their systems” three weeks before the real, white people’s election.

Hayes proudly titled his segment on the conspiracy “Fear of a Black Electorate,” in homage to the 1990 album by Public Enemy, “Fear of a Black Planet.”

Hayes’ bold move to go with the old-school rap angle was inspirational indeed, leading followers to propose their own #ChrisHayesRapSongs.
