Freelance journalist Danny Gold tonight live-tweeted a “vigil” for 16-year-old Kimani Gray, who was shot and killed by two police officers in East Flatbush, New York, Saturday. Police allege Gray pointed a .38 caliber pistol at them. Gray is reported to have had a criminal record including breaking into a car, possession of stolen property, grand larceny and rioting.
Two were reportedly injured and one arrested following a candlelight vigil Monday night, and a Rite Aid store was looted.
Tonight’s vigil was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. but quickly turned violent.
NYPD still has like 4 vans and a mobile command unit in front of that rite aid. BUT WHO WILL PROTECT WALGREENS?

The point of the vigil was for kimani's mother to speak to the press. That doesn't seem likely now.
