Sarah Palin, Teamsters applaud overturn of Bloomberg's soda ban

The invalidation of Nanny Bloomberg’s ban on sugary drinks larger than 16 oz. has drawn applause from both ends of the political spectrum. Sarah Palin was happy to have the government kept out of New York’s kitchens (in this case, at least), but she wasn’t alone. The Teamsters also cheered the striking down of the “job killing ban.”

It’s not surprising that a ban on 17 oz. sodas would manage to bring together just about everyone, regardless of politics. What sort of person would support this kind of ridiculous government overreach in the first place?
