Fresh from scolding Rand Paul, John McCain laments Carl Levin's retirement

While Sen. Rand Paul was sneaking bites of a candy bar yesterday during his 13-hour filibuster, his colleague Sen. John McCain was out to dinner out with President Obama. The well-fed senator didn’t make it back to assist with the filibuster, but instead took to the floor today to denounce Paul for his “political stunt.” McCain sounds like he’s gotten over his anger; now he’s sad because his good friend, Democrat Sen. Carl Levin, will not seek reelection, opening the possibility of a GOP pick-up next year.

Perhaps McCain would be less sad if he joined his good friend in retirement?
