President sticking with 'most transparent administration ever' claim, has documents to prove it

Twitchy told you that PolitiFact is looking for ways to pass the time now that its mission of helping President Obama’s reelection effort is complete. We should have put PolitiFact’s fact-checking staff on speed-dial for the president’s Google Hangout appearance today. We’re not the only ones in disbelief that the president is still delivering the “most transparent administration ever” line, which has become a running joke among conservatives. To his credit, he’s the first president in history to even agree to a Google Hangout chat; no other president can claim that.

The claim of transparency came in response to a question about the administration’s policy on drone strikes, but quickly turned to the White House visitor logs.

It’s important to note that the tweet above isn’t sarcastic; the president really did concede that his administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack was a poor example of transparency. Don’t blame him, though; blame Mitt Romney. That mess was “largely driven by campaign stuff,” he explained.
