Twitchy has already reported on the upcoming Strikesgiving season, which kicked off early with strikes at Oakland International Airport and the Port of Oakland and could greet Walmart shoppers with picket lines and walkouts on Black Friday. Many thousands passing through LAX this afternoon for Thanksgiving travel are contending with a march of union protesters in the street out front, which is adding an estimated 90 minutes to travelers’ plans.

Not surprisingly, the union isn’t winning a lot of fans today, one of the busiest travel days of the year.

The union does have its supporters, although we’ll guess a lot of them aren’t traveling through LAX today.
Personal note: Major props to the labor protesters near #LAX. If you want something, you fight for it. LAPD currently arresting protesters.

KCAL9’s Dave Lopez interviewed some of the demonstrators and found they didn’t work for the airport and weren’t sure what exactly they were protesting; they were, however, proud to lend their support.
Some non-airport workers, who participated in a protest near #LAX, were unclear of the reason behind the demonstration. http://t.co/RGIwJhrb

Do you know why they are protesting at LAX? "Idk, it's a protest so it must be for something good" #IDIOT
