The poll, which sampled 1,382 likely voters, was conducted Friday through Monday, before last night’s third and final presidential debate. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percent.

The breakdown of the sample gives Democrats a +5 advantage: 34 percent of respondents consider themselves Democrats, 29 percent Republican and 33 percent Independent. That’s right: Independents outnumbered Republicans in the survey sample.
