Shocking video emerged this weekend of a crowd apparently dragging a dying U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens out of a building in Libya. Don’t let that bother you too much, though; Mother Jones magazine this afternoon posted a super-secret video smuggled from a Mitt Romney campaign event that they hope will really disturb you.
In the video, shot secretly at a private fundraiser earlier this year, Romney says that much of President Barack Obama’s support in the election will come from those dependent on government.
Seriously, @DavidCornDC thinks Romney's statement here is some sort of secret. I guess to Corn, it is. http://t.co/ln9gABlS
— China is lying (@jtLOL) September 17, 2012
@jtLOL @davidcorndc So Romney has pissed off the people who were always going to vote for Obama. What's the prob? #dependents
— Jim Rose ☕️ (@JimRoseVSOP) September 17, 2012
Have you recovered from the shock yet?
What Romney is obviously describing is a campaign strategy that will focus on independents. He questions the value of campaigning on lowering taxes when that message will never resonate with the 47 percent of Americans who pay no federal tax.
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what … These are people who pay no income tax.
Team Obama’s Jim Messina, whose campaign earlier this year introduced us to the joys of cradle-to-grave government hand-holding though composite creation Julia, called Romney’s remarks “shocking.”
Jim Messina: "shocking" @MittRomney would "declare .. half the American people view themselves as ‘victims,’ entitled to handouts"
— Ed Henry (@edhenry) September 17, 2012
.@edhenryTV Unlike Barack Obama who declares that 99% of Americans are victims & entitled to handouts. @MittRomney

Romney went on to say that his job in the campaign was “not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” Liberal translation? Romney doesn’t care about poor people! Note, of course, that David Corn, Washington bureau chief of Mother Jones, chose to use the word “moochers” in interpreting Romney’s remarks. And in an impromptu game of telephone, liberals heard their own words in Romney’s remarks.

Now it's finally out there for you to see. Romney thought you all DESERVED to be laid off when Bain bought you.

Mitt Romney thinks 47 percent of Americans are despicable. Luckily, he only needs 50 percent +1 to vote for him.

“Disdainfully written off?” What do you expect from the man who was so arrogant and disdainful as to actually run against The One?
A new Rasmussen poll shows Romney with a two-point lead nationally. But leftists with their ears tightly pressed against their laptop speakers are certain they hear a nail in the Romney campaign’s coffin. For real this time.

In that video, Romney accurately described problems with our entitlement society. People who support an entitlement society don't like it.

As Romney’s “caught on tape” comments made the rounds on Twitter and the evening newscasts, his communications director Gail Gitcho released this statement:
Mitt Romney wants to help all Americans struggling in the Obama economy. As the governor has made clear all year, he is concerned about the growing number of people who are dependent on the federal government, including the record number of people who are on food stamps, nearly one in six Americans in poverty, and the 23 million Americans who are struggling to find work. Mitt Romney’s plan creates 12 million new jobs in four years, grows the economy and moves Americans off of government dependency and into jobs.
