Wendy Rosen, a Democrat running for election in Maryland’s first Congressional District, dropped out of the race Monday after being confronted with allegations that she had committed voter fraud.
Party officials urged Rosen to step aside after it was alleged that she voted in elections in both Maryland and Florida in 2006 and 2008.

U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, fresh from speaking at a Democratic National Convention where GOP attempts to reform voter fraud were likened to a return to segregation, said she was shocked and dismayed.
I'm shocked & dismayed that Wendy Rosen committed fraud by voting in Maryland & Florida. She has now withdrawn from the Congressional race.

State Democrats say they will work to identify a write-in candidate to oppose Republican Rep. Andy Harris, as the deadline to remove Rosen from the ballot has passed.
