Sophia Bush sick of Republican men 'defending' rape

So, what path does one take to get to the idea that Republican men are defending rape? Sophia Bush seems to have been set off by a Huffington Post piece inspired by a YouTube video titled, “Paul Ryan: Rape Is Just Another ‘Method Of Conception’.”

The problem is, Ryan never said rape was “just another” method of conception. In context, Ryan tells a reporter in Virginia, “the method of conception doesn’t change the definition of life,” before reiterating that Mitt Romney’s policy on abortion “has exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother.”

Never mind: the same people who tried to tie Ryan to Rep. Todd Akin’s ill-informed “shut that whole thing down” comment are now furious that Ryan has said rape can lead to conception.

People accused Ryan of plagiarizing President Obama when he insisted, “Rape is rape, period. End of story.” So, can we call this plagiarism too, or just paraphrasing?

No uterus, no opinion? Don’t tell that to the man whose HuffPo opinion piece got this thread started.
