Psychiatrist says his expertise trumps parents' rights when working with transgender children

There’s a lot to unpack in this brief video. As we’ve said before, “parents’ rights” has become a term of derision to leftists. Parents think they know better than teachers how to raise children. Parents are terrorizing school boards over progressive indoctrination like critical race theory and academic queer theory. In March, a Washington Post editor told PBS when he hears “parental rights,” he hears, “parental rights for whom?” A month later, New York Magazine’s Sarah Jones wrote that “the parental rights movement actively threatens the safety and wellbeing of children and by extension, democracy itself.

As we reported a day ago, Christopher Rufo showed some whistleblower documents indicating that Texas Children’s Hospital’s announcement that it was discontinuing “gender-affirming care” for minors was short-lived.

Texas Children’s Hospital was partnering with the Baylor College of Medicine, and it just so happens this psychiatrist was wearing his Baylor gear when he shot this video about what “parents’ rights” means to him.

We’ve had it with that. “If you don’t let us remove your daughter’s breasts, she’s likely to kill herself” — as if that were the only approach.

Here’s an ethics professor taking on the hurdle of “parents’ rights”:
